Nostalgic modeller

Hi. I am Nick and I am from Wellington. I have been making models since I was a kid in the 60's. The first I remember is the Airfix Red Baron Fokker DR1. I still like making Airfix and Frog kits. Not that I make many, mostly they are awaiting construction. My interests are aircraft, ships, vehicles and figures, with a preference for some connection to NZL. I made a few RSL Classic Models back in the day. So I have been entering information on the RSL range onto Scalemates as I find more. (Pity I never kept one of their catalogue sheets). I am also  interested in the Lincoln range that was made here in the 60's. I still regularly look through my 1960's and 70's Airfix magazines.

Hi Nick… Glad to meet you and I look forward to seeing your work and learning more about you. I’ve a modeling friend that posts all his model pics on Scalemates, and I honestly came late to that party for what it does…still need to figure it out for how and why, lol. Anyway, WWI aircraft is a subject I find great interest in, even though I’ve only built two models of that era…cabling nearly drove me mad, hahaha. See you around the forum.
