I suppose I should go ahead with the intro, especially since the modelling community in New Zealand is relatively small. For those who might not be familiar with me...

My name is Dave as my forum name suggests, and I call Wellington my home. I rekindled my interest in model building around 2004/5, much to my wife's dismay.

This resurgence happened after my parents almost tossed out my tools, paints, and an Academy Blackhawk model when I got married. My modelling journey includes being featured in a couple of modelling magazines and a book.

However, I'm perhaps best known for dedicating 11 years of my work life to a small Wellington-based company that produced renowned plastic model kits named Wingnut Wings.

Presently, I mainly military models, typically in scales like 1/48, 1/32, and 1/35. You can catch glimpses of my work on Instagram and Facebook under the name Fox Three Scale Models. Oh, and I've recently ventured into the world of YouTube with my own channel.

Hi Dave… Glad to meet you and I look forward to seeing your work and learning more about you. I do indeed, recognize the handle, Fox Three Scale Models! And the Wingnut Wings brand… a very close friend of mine that adores building WWI aircraft absolutely raved that these were by far the best kits of the subject ever sold; I unfortunately came to that party plate and never was able to get my hands on one the the kits. See you around the forum.
