Hi all I'm Doug, I've been living in Queensland for the past 32 years but prior to that grew up in Cambridge. I started modelling aged 9 in 1975 and built many of the 1/48th scale Bandai kits. Like many I stopped modelling when I discovered other pursuits at High School and it wasn't until I stopped fulltime work in 1997 to stay at home with our first child that I took up the hobby again. I have always been a German armour builder until a couple of years ago when I built a diorama to honour my eldery 1980s neighbour (since passed) who once told me a story of losing a comrade while at the end of 1942 in Egypt serving with the NZEME. Building the British CMP truck sparked a new interest and now is my main area of focus. I look forward to getting to know you all.
