Nice To Be Back

Hi all,
Nice to see the site up and working again. I don’t mind FB, but I prefer my FB Groups to be private….mainly because most of my FB friends aren’t modellers, and I don’t want them being continually bombarded with my model related posts. But I understand that a site like KM is ideally available to all.
Let’s keep it active!

Hi FIX… Glad to meet you and I look forward to seeing your work and learning more about you.

AND, I forgot the brief introduction bit…..I’m Tania, from Auckland. I’ve been around the model scene for many years, starting as an avid Matchbox kit builder in the 70s, the into 1/48 aircraft in the 80s. In the late 90s my interest change to cars…mainly the Tamiya 1/20 F1 variety, but a stash of 1/24s soon followed. My main interest now is older race cars, and I build a lot in 1/43. I’ve also started buying up 1/72 aircraft as a way of going back to a simpler time (although 1/72 aircraft kits have come a long way since the 70s)
I try to focus on quality over quantity with my builds (my excuse for a glacially slow build rate), but that will have to change or I will never get through the stash that seems to be taking over our house!

Hey Tania, I remember you from before, it was only a couple of years ago but it feels longer.
I agree with everything say about Facebook, it's almost like that dirty modelling secret you don't want your friends to know about lol
