For an idea of what is eligible here is a good list, which will provide plenty of opportunities for a subject:
Note: even though some of those operations start before and/or finish after the above period, GB subject must have been deployed after start of August 1990 to be eligible, and it must be a combat zone where actual combat occurred, even if the subject did not actively participate i.e. patrol, recon, sentry, etc. If in doubt, check with the admins.
No part started kits, must be a new build. Please post a photo of the unstarted kit contents and a date reference as the first post in your build thread
For the Modern Combat GB ill be building a 1/35 UH60L Blackhawk.
This will be created as Super 68 (Razors Edge) which was the CSAR rescue bird in Operation Gothic Serpent, Somalia. The Helicopter was operated by the 160th SOAR and was involved in the battle of Mogadishu on October 3rd 1993 Somalia. (Black hawk Down).
Super68 sustained damage to the rotor system by an RPG during the engagement but was safely landed back at the aifield. It was repaired and put back into service. I believe it now resides at the Fort Rucker musuem.

Been a bit of a delayed start on this one, been unexpectedly busy. But finally a start. I still have to paint the cabin floor, its currently only has the undercoat.
I still need to do a wash on the straps on the auxiliary fuel tank. The dash board is incorrect, the correct one is still drying. I didnt realise there are 3 options in this kit for the UH60L upgrades. I have used the kit miniguns for now, ill see how the legend ones compare when I put them together.
Doors are off, the left one was easy but the right one took more time as the recess didn't run the full length on the inside. I believe I have the right dashboard on now. The seats need more work but ill be putting figures on them as this model is destined for a diorama in the future.
If you want a bunch of reference images I have quite a few of a HH60G I took at Nellis, I know not exactly the same airframe but should still be representative of the wear and tear. Let me know if you want a link.
