So hot on the heels of the tiny Tu95, i've cracked into another giant the Italeri B52G.

This is a group build between myself and Azza who has the same kit and got a jump on me so i worked through the night last night!.

We both had an idea a while ago to put this model into a coffee table, i have approached a joiner friend of mine to make the table(s) so now i just have to build the model and think about the setting

I'm going to build a B-52G Getting bombed up on the apron in Guam some time in the early 90's......

Something like this....



Anyway the model is pretty straight forward not the greatest fits but it works, added a beam to the wing box for extra strength as the wings seem a little weak, the engines went together well





And here is the size!!!!

Nice! Looks like the fit is about the same as their 1/72 AC-130 im working on!

A bit more on this,... Azza has finished his,..typical camo on now i need to clean up the undersides and sort the wheels and bays. going to chip and weather and fade this like a dirty bird.

Thanks man, looks rough and dirty (as it was intended) it was so big and i was pretty lazy about rolling snakes so i freehaded it !

It looks really effective. I often think freehand is far closer to the real deal. The nose will weather up nicely.
