Frog 1:72 Spitfire MkXIV was created by gepete
Here is my Spitfire MkXIV work in progress. Got started before I photographed the sprues... sorry. Went round to a mates place and the gauntlet was thrown down that he would build a FROG Derwontaine (spelling?) before I'd finish the Spitfire so it was sprues off before you could say Flies Right Off the Ground.

Anyway I'm super pleased to have the original stand so it can be posed chasing the V1. Unfortunately it's not the original V1... it went west and landed on London some time ago and wasn't in the box when I bought it. Nevertheless for $5 who could say no. Was given a flying bomb from a recent Revell kit so I can complete the project. Detail is a bit soft and the canopy is a pretty ropey fit, so I'm fiddling around to sort that out... but hope to have it finished before December. Really wanted this as a kid but at $1.80 from Martins in Pt Chevalier in 1975 it was outside of my budget. I remember also the Monogram 1/48 Me262 was also there and even more incomprehensively unaffordable.

Gracious, I'd forgotten all about Frog models. Nice lot going together here.
