I used the call out FS numbers I had on the Old models decal instruction sheet then found the closest colours I had on the shelf. So the tan colour was a Vallejo( Can get the Number when I get home)But it was too dark so it ended up being a homemade mixture. The lighter green was a 50/50 mix of Tamiya Nato Green and Yellow. The Darker green was a 70/30 mix of Tamiya Olive Green and Yellow. Then went around and lightened center of panels a little.
Coat of future went on this morning..will then paint the gun surrounds and nose black..another coat of future and on to decals.

Nothing 'smart' to add, the boys have covered it all. Looking forward to the next installment.

Nice to see a Squawk in the old SEA scheme. Not a ominous looking as the Euro and all green schemes, but still very cool camo and you've pulled the colours off very well. Good matching and nice demarcation lines. Looking forward to seeing the 'stickers' go on.

Cheers Nos. I've got a Trumpeter F-100 Super Sabre that I'd like to do in a similar scheme, but am having trouble trying to get a match for the lighter green in acrylic. (I think it's FS34102?) Tamiya don't appear to do it. Italeri have added it to their acrylic range, but it doesn't appear to be in stock over here yet as it's new.
Your colours look spot on but I just don't trust myself to mix my own as yet. ;)

Ok ..Tan --Vallejo 70874 Tan earth and Vallejo Panzer aces Africa Corp Highlights...2 to 1 with a drop or two of Vallejo white.
Light Green Tamiya Nato Green XF-67 and Tamiya Flat Yellow XF-3 ...1 to 1.
Dark Green Tamiya Olive Green XF-58

Then its just a case of using the Mark 1 eyeball till it looks right... I build for me generally so as long as it looks good and it resembles a Kiwi Scooter I'll be happy!

Ok... Decaling...using a mix of kit and Old Models aftermarket jobbies...have had a real issue with the bigger a/m ones not wanting to sit flat....tried micro sol...I even made up a diluted mixture of PVA and water to try and stick em down!...I have now given them a coat of Humbrol decal fix...They are a little better..will give them another dose tonight..They are quite thick..One side down..one to go! Hopefully we will get there!
