The shelf of doom has been growing too steadily of late, so I have decided it is time to clear it out, in advance of a new, larger display cabinet for 2020. The genesis was the Avia S-199 which had been malingering for over 20 years. When I counted the corpses in the unfinished projects cabinet, after finishing the Avia, it was up around 40 kits. That does not include the part started ones I can still fit in boxes; but because they fit in boxes, are not considered by me to be Shelf of Doom material (I know, but it's MY logic and I'll use it how I please!).
My plan therefeore, is to reduce that number as much as possible, either by attrition, or completion, by the end of 2019. I'm down to 24 now, and I now have the first two back on the bench. The only other model I will start in 2019 wiill be the F-16 for the MCGB.
Here is the current tally, in no particular order:
Hasegawa 1/48 F8U-2N (F-8D) Crusader conversion - on the bench again. Started 15 years ago
That's quite a list. I'm thinking define the word ambitious! Seriously though, all power to you and it would be awesome to see all those across the line in 2019. I'm keen to see that Fujimi Corsair and Hasegawa Jaguar across the line for no other reason than I've got much the same kits and I always find your builds insightful at the very least.
