This is the New Zealand-exclusive Flying Kiwis rebox of the Italeri A-4E/F kit, which came with low-viz markings decals as work by our Skyhawks from the mid-1990s until retirement, with some surgery and extra bits by me to replicate 05 as she was on the day of the Air Combat Force disbandment, December 13 2001.
I've seen photos and heard stories of her display at Sqn Ldr Jason "Easty" Easthope's hands that day so I thought it'd be the best subject. I'd already been saving reference material for a while when a friend and fellow member of the WONZ forum asked if I'd like this kit as he wasn't going to do anything with it.

Sure did! I sliced it off, replaced it with some very thin clear sheet, then had a pit of putty-sand-repeat. I'm pleased with the result

From what I know, Bringans issued the Italeri 1/72 A-4E/F in two separate Flying Kiwis "boxings": the first was a bagged kit with the late-80s low-viz blue and red roundels, the second the box I had with the late black low-viz markings. I'd love to get my hands on the bagged version as I had it as a kid and would love to do it justice and have it with NZ6205.
I also want half a dozen 1/144 Skyhawks but that's a different story!
