Well the ball is rolling and so is the money :)
We have the following people who are fully paid up for this build, if this goes well we'll do another one in 6 months.

1/35th Battalion
Andrew
CyNaKyL
Craig Sargent
Dads Army x 2
Gary (G1) x 2
Marder38
McCoy
Red
Tony Lee
Wally
Weldingrod

I'll keep this list updated as more people send in their fees.
The build will start 1st November and will run until 1st of May, it doesn't matter when you start so long as you keep us updated whenever you have some progress. Can everyone could create a seperate topic for their group builds add the images as attachements and strung off Photobox etc.
If you have any questions please use this thread Build instructions , cheers.
Good luck.

It's not my fault I'm mostly Scots (mind you, it's better than being a Pom, even though I'm part Pom too, and part Irish to boot  ).... Besides, it's more money to buy models overseas...

I aim to build two and call the other $10 a donation for the cause. I doubt I'd get 4 built in 6 months even if I wasn't working most days :)

So given that the starters gun has sounded, what are the rules/requirements in terms of pics? Do we need to post a pic of the kit before we begin? Headed to a mates tonight for a modelling session so figured I might pull the Swordfish and start cutting plastic. Not sure if I'll have time for a pic before I go or not though.

Been flat out, will knock something "Agile" up today, I did say in the original post that it would start at the end of November after Cambridge, I can't remember where and how it changed to 1st November, no worries, by the end of the day it'll all be done.
Yeah we'll need pictures of Sprues and preferably a box alongside the image I posted of the KM logo disk even if you just have it showing on your phone and you take a photo including your phone or put the sprues in front of a monitor with the logo on. Yeah I know weird rules but hey they are here to help us ;)

Have you edited the first post already? Cause it says 1st November on there. Regardless, no harm in making it a solid 6 months worth. Even if people start a couple of weeks late after Cambridge. I may get some plastic cut this weekend or beginning of next week before I'm of on hol but otherwise I'll work on it when I get back on the 18th.

OK, so can we resize the KM logo and place it in our pics for posting? It's a hassle to take pics in front of the PC (for me )

As for the start date, I can include a pic of the box/sprues next to todays (Nov 1st) NZ Herald newspaper

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

That would work, the other way is if you look at the properties of digital photos, they usually have the date they were taken (not always) but they usually have some sort of time stamp on them.
You could probably use ms paint or some sort of photo editing software to resize the km logo and edit it into the corner of your photos... At least that's what I plan on doing anyway...

For those of us not at home gluing and cutting :'(
1,) Print the logo off
2.) Put the logo somewhere visible near the sprues/box prior to starting
3.) Every time you post a group of photos i.e. give us a progress update please include the image in to your photos (in just one photo per session will do)
3.) Keep checking on this thread as I will randomly change the logo and you will need to change your picture
4.) Post regular updates in to your own thread, if you want any comments removed just ask (trying to help avoid derailment)
5.) Updates don't have to be daily but I would like to be able to see a nice progress flow.
6.) Remember you got 6 months so take your time and keep us updated.

I'm only do this because there is real money involved here and I want everything to be fair and above board. If this works we can use it as a template for other events and I can maybe look at finding sponsors for Group Builds.
I'm about to create a separate forum for this Group Build so if your topic disappears it will be in there ;)
