Cheers guys, I'm quite pleased with how things are turning out.
Building construction is going to be gib board with paper taken off and scribed brick etc. windows and doors are going to be plastic and veneer construction.
Even going to have a crack at casting my own bricks only because the bought ones I had have run out :(
Scene is going to be 2 trucks ready to roll out 1 with the jeep on, the other loaded with petrol drums etc in a street setting with village fountain and some infantry lounging around having a break.
Next figure set to arrive will be US Tank riders.
This being my first GB is all quite exciting, looking forward to seeing how every one else's comes together.
Cheers for looking in.

Hi there.
Not a lot happening here at the moment, wee bit of primer applied and some figures assembled ( not shown ) yet
Hope to have some more OD applied in the next few days so construction can carry on.
Mock up scene attached to give general idea of what is going to be the end result. ( could be altered )
Thoughts and comments as always welcome and appreciated.
Cheers
Dave

Yeah mesa like that one!!
An MP directing traffic with his motorcycle sitting nearby, I think Minart do that combo or it might be Master Box would finish it off :)

Thanks Gary and Ian.
Nice idea Gary and had thought of that. But I have already spent $70 on the Tamiya truck, $65 on the Italieri truck, $40 on the jeep, $60 on 3 accessory kits, $ 50 on 2 figure kits, $20 for the Tamiya GMCcab kit, and the village fountain blablablabla., so another $ 30 or 40 bucks for another kit is just out of reach.
Wellington Model Crafts & Hobbies have been fab with getting me what I needed but not the cheapest .
A little more investigating will be done when next build takes place.
All ground and buildings are going to be from scrounged bits or from bits bins.
Thanks for popping in

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

Hi there
Its been a pretty quiet couple of weeks at the desk but have had a chance to get a bit done on the building.
Change of plan with how I was going to do this. Now it is ply construction, Balsa trusses, strip wood for roof to be covered with roof tiles.
Plastic windows which will have large timber sills etc.
Like I said its a bit slow but at least progress is getting made, I am worried though at the pace i'm going I might not get to cross the line at the end. :whome:

As always thoughts and comments appreciated
Thanks for looking in.

Wow that's going to be SOOOO cool, that's definitely the way forward, how more accurate can you get for representing wood with actual wood :)
It looks strong enough to tank a direct hit from an 88 lol at least it will be strong enough to transport down/up to Cambridge this year ;)

Yeah it's a bit difficult getting out of the house at the moment (no not because of the monitoring device around my ankle :P ) I can't drive so can't go to the post office, and the wife keeps working Saturdays at the moment.
Does that mean I need to bring a few gallons with me to Armistice? muhahaha my little glue junkies.

Hello there B). Well it's been a little quiet here over the last couple of weeks but I have managed to get a bit more done.
I'm only getting about 3-5 hours a week in down in the cave so freaking a bit about the finish line, hope to make it
Any way here are some more updates, sorry for the poor pics.

Cheers for looking in
Dave

Yes they are both GMC's Tamiya and Italeri.
There are some really neat builds coming out at the moment, I don't know which way to look sometimes LOL
Looking forward to seeing some more of your build shortly.
I hope to have some more pics up soon.
I have poured plaster down to make path, now need to scribe pavers. Still need to plaster windows and doors in, glass to add and all the internal trimmings. Phew
Lots to do yet. Might have a break from it to get some work on the vehicles done Ill see how I get on over the next week or so.
Cheers for popping in.
