Looking forward to this!

Not going to be able to get my teeth into this one until mid-late Jan :(
Off camping to day for a week with the family :woohoo: then down to CHCH for a we while.
Reduces the time for the build , still enough time for it to be completed though
Merry Xmas and New Year
Be safe out there

I hope this turns out like I plan, I'm actually quite excited by this one.
Figures are going to be my issue I think and now I may also throw in a jeep ?
I'll think about it while away.

Hi there, finally got to make a start on this GB.
A little work done on the Chassis, a fair bit of scraping done to remove mould seams and a couple of bits to tidy up before paint.
Not a lot but something any way.

Cheers for looking in.
I'm thinking I might throw in a jeep or bike and MP's, also a driver for the second truck yet to arrive.
This is a plan as ya go type dio so not to sure what it will be till done

Still heaps to do, jerry can caps and handles ( yeah they suck Tony ).
Paint tires, finish painting fenders and bonnet etc.
Another coat of Olive Drab mixed with a little Dark Yellow to get fading effect.
You guys know:-) Gloss coat for decals, weathering , washes etc Matt coat etc.
Best thing is I can do it all again with truck no2 when it arrives :woohoo:
Sorry bit of sarcasm there, I do love it. It was first day back to work today and it doesn't fell like I've had a holiday :(
Bit tired
Be better tomorrow

Hi Folks
Update time :woohoo:
I have made a little progress with this build. Truck is nearly completed, a few more bits and pieces then it can get another blast of OD then lightened with a little dark yellow or ochre to highlight some parts.
It will sit for a while then waiting for gloss coat, decals, weathering etc :)

Also recently arrived is the next truck and village fountain :woohoo:
These have been started last night along with a couple of boxes I banged together ( think they look ok )
Some Verlinden US markings sheets are on their way for these.
Also coming is a Tamiya Jeep and Dragon figures.

Cheers for popping by and having a look

Keep at it.

Yeah the jeep is a beauty to build, I built one in my Bulge dio hence the Tamiya kit again.
Next step will be finishing truck assembly, start Jeep and get some idea of how all this is going to fit together.

Yep I'm looking forward to banging this one together. :woohoo:
Apart from finishing off bits on the trucks, the jeep will be the last major part of construction to do here.
Buildings are going to be fun though :woohoo:

I'm keen to know too B)

I've used MDF in the past. I see a lot of overseas guys using either pink or blue building foam for structures, but I haven't been able to find a source for it locally
