The Takom Morser looks to be a fine kit, however I'm really looking forward to see how a pro tackles the emplacement :) .
Just one thing to remember - 'dropshorts' are a messy bunch so lots of litter and junk laying around ;) .

All the walls and steel (plastic) doors are in place ,next is to place some blue foam in the bigger spaces to reduce weight.

Ordered new plaster but the shop was out have to wait at least 10 days :( before i can start pouring plaster .
The yellow and white parts are the (1)Doors ,one (2) window,(3) slit for the ammo from storage to the gun and a (4)recess in the wall

Back to the 21 cm morser .

Looking grand though

This is why this guy is the bunker king. He's made the mold and will pour the "concrete" just like the originals. Blows me away how you model all the details in reverse to make the think look spot on when the molds are removed.

I really like the look of that gun now. Will you ever build a model where you don't change the paint scheme? lol.

The bunker still drying out ,
The yellow orange stuff is balsa foam ....took most off out it out with a sculpting tool and the rest will be brushed out .....with a stiff old pigs hair paintbrush .
( so no the damage the plaster )

Still have to make a floor and a small wall to go in front of the bunker
(don't know the English word for it  )

going to be a monster. love that cast texture.

I assume the small wall is a rampart/deflector for small arms fire and shrapnel?

Awesome Maarten. Do you make the walls you used for casting each time or are they pre-made and then cut to size by you?

Really enjoying seeing how the pro's do these things especially with the SBS views - helps us amateurs visualize the sequence of events.
Cheers for nice explanations.

Airbrushed with different greys (AK paints ) and sealed with Vallejo Polyurthane Matt varnish.

Next : some old skool dry brushing .

Next: weathering with oils.

Not going to use the 21cm morser in this bunker ,found out the Takom kit is not true to the original in size.

So i am going with a 15cm gun insted

Now this is really starting to come to life. The small details (reinforcing bar showing thru etc.) are what makes this a standout build, in my eyes.
Thanks for sharing your skills.
