T-34/57 Tamiya 1/48 was created by johnsnz
Hi,

I have been working on a T-34/57 based on the excellent 1/48 Tamiya T-34/76 1941 kit. The conversion to a 57mm gun was reasonably easy.

Here is the finished build...

I made the replacement barrel from some brass stock.

Model looks great, really nice work, and cool on making your own barrel!

Also as the others have said, the driftwood base is wicked :)

Lovely job all round John.
I've yet to try 'tufted' grass on a dio yet but looking at what you've achieved makes me want to give it a go.

I see another T-34 has been recovered in Russia recently:

Great job John. Really love the colour pallet and weathering. The base really sets it off too.

John,
where did you get the scenic tufts from? I want to recreate a Waiouru desert environment for my Scorpion and those tufts look like they would work very well for the Plateau tussock.

Hi Craig,

The stuff is a woodlands scenic product repackaged by MiG Autumn Tufts IIRC

I might have some left I'll have a look.
If not I got it from Mighty Ape...

Cheers

John

Great thanks. Are you still wanting the Mk.77 Napalm as well? Didn't have time to dig it out before last meeting, but can bring to next if you still want them.
