Evening all

As requested, here's some pics of some of my builds.

As my eyesight isn't what it used to be, I decided to do a push to get the last of my braille kits built.

First is a Airfix WWI Female that I have converted to a MK I Female of E Battalion named Kia Ora, and the second a WWI Male Tank refined to be a MK II Male tank (yet to be numbered and/or named)

And the last one, a Airfix Vickers VI B (ex. JB Models) crudely converted with sand shields. Really easy kit to build, but really inaccurate

I hope you enjoy the images. All comments and critique welcome.

Cheers

Good to see some more Braille here have not built the WWI as a adult,
I found the Airfix Vickers fun, I built the ACE one at the same time & gave that the North Africa sand shields & a flimsy can rack at the back
Love to see your Cromwell built up too
any more advances on that?

Cheers Elliott

Hi Elliott

Thanks for the comments. I have a base coat on the WWI tanks and the Cromwell, but the Vickers is still on hold until I get around to mixing some Portland Stone for the base. They are all on the backburner at the moment while I finish a winged thing. Will post some pics soon.

Cheers

Good stuff. Your timing is right for the WW1 tanks too, as we approach the Centennial of the commencement of the Great War.
Forgive my ignorance, but was E Battalion and the Mk 1 tank "Kia ora" part of NZ's First Expeditionary Force?

Ah yes but technically you actually have until September 2016 as that is the 100th Anniversary of the use of the tank at Flers-Courcelette, during the Battle of the Somme :P

Thanks Wally. As far as the attachment to E Battalion goes, I couldn't say. So the story goes, one of the Majors in E Batt. was a kiwi, and named her Kia Ora. How true that is, I'm not sure, and am also not sure of other attachment details.

Michael.. Yea.. nah.. we'll see lol

Gary.. true.. but with all the WWI GB's happening around the web, there are likely to be no shortage of these (with any luck anyway).. even if they are a tadd early :)
