Well, not quite in an evening. I've still got to paint her. My chosen scheme is Merdc Summer Europe Verdant to represent a vechicle based in Germany in the late 1980s. Just test fitted at the moment so I can gain access to paint the interior. The loading ramp ain't glued on yet by the way, hence its crookedness.
Hi ya Marder, er . . . . I kinda chickened out on the Merdc scheme. I decided to go with a simple 'rushed to the gulf to take part in Desert Storm' desert sand scheme. Pics below.
My attempts at Merdc so far are confine to stray bits of card - those efforts will not be shown here until they show improvement!
Still a lot more to do, but thats enough for the evening. My mother in law is an artist so I'm off to raid her stash of oil paints this weekend to make myself some washes.
The other track is away having surgery (with a darn big clamp) because it just dosn't want to stay together.
I'm half pie thinking of making a little diorama for this little Bradley, but I just can't find any 1/72 Desert Storm era crews. I'm itching to put some stowage on it now though!
Hi Elliot, lol I've already got this Black Dog stowage set - its for the later model M2A3 though. I've ordered a suitable Dragon M2A3 Bradley to stick it on. I might have a go at sculpting my own stowage for this earlier M2 model.
Where abouts did you get that 1/72 T50 turret for your Kiwi M113 build? I'd love to see your M113 finished
Sorry I don't recall who did the turret it was someone on Missing lynx DG
I think they cast it themselves, If your keen on one I could try & track the details down
it was someone in Australia a few years ago.
for the packs if you use Humbrol, anything like 86 light Olive,117 US light Green, or 159 Kharki Drab
or Tamiya XF61
Interesting the small tarp roll is a copy of a MaRs item.
Cool, cheers for that Elliot. Yeah I've done a bit of research on the T50 turret in 1/72 and didn't come up with anything. I've been thinking about scratch building my own, but need to find some drawings/blueprints.
