To the gentleman i met in town last night, i'm sorry i c*ckbloked you, however i do think the girls were onto you and one of them was my partner of 6 years...

A bit of advice if i may,... If you want to claim to be a "fighter pilot" in the RNZAF do a bit of research before heading out... We do not to my knowledge have or have ever had in the RNZAF "F-15 Golden Eagles" and we did not fly them in Iraq... (isn't golden eagle and upgrade for the F-15 or some sort of hand gun)

Also ...."my" aircraft is a rented p"A"-38 which is a single engine two seat civil trainer,... and not a twin engine twin tail warbird,.... sorry ..you started it..

STOLEN VALOUR!!!

Man that's some funny shit... You have made my morning Lucas...

You are thinking of Slam Eagle I think, which is the Korean F15K. Not aware of a golden eagle (unless it's the one that set all sorts of records, except that was the Streak Eagle).

In Soviet Russia, Iron Curtain GB builds you!

People look at me funny when I say I own "Fifty shades of Grey". FS36118, FS36270, FS36375.....

Ahhh right the ROKAF plane, their display team is the Black Eagles??? - makes sense

The guy did indeed have "big cajones" i have to hand it to him he didn't back down from the story
even when he must have known he was rumbled. even said he'd ejected once!!! the balls!!!

I didn't have the heart to rip him down... i actually had fun playing along, TBH most of the people in the group still weren't aware he was bullshitting or if we still flew Spads or f-16's or something... .

However the lady did impress when she came over to the bar and said "dude you have to come over there is a guy there who thinks he's a pilot"
So i think enough of my pilot/modelling nerdiness has rubbed off on her at least to develop enough of a bullshit detector,

She can identify most US modern jets by sight now :-)

Still a reckless lack of research there

BTW the guy was a bit of a pro.... using a ballsy "In" , separating his chosen "prey" from the group.... negging my GF when he realised she was taken.... etc...

all for naught tho... sorry pal... jog on.

So if this walking tragedy of a human being was stationed in Iraq with RNZAF (1991?) that would make him 50 plus years old.... (unless he was some petri dish black op trained elite toddler pilot picked because they have no understanding or fear of death  ) and if I recall correctly we only provided a couple of C-130's... and we all know most of what ejects out a of C-130 comes from the rear end!

Good point Terry, i had assumed it was during "Iraqi freedom" so 2003-2011 but considering i already knew he was talking out his arse i didn't really feel the need to push him on dates :-)

I mean RNZAF F-15's.. FFS its made my week that!
