Armistice in Cambridge 2020 was created by Hadley
Hey all
Today marks one month until setup day for AiC
It is 2 days again this year on 7th and 8th of November
We, the Waikato Scale Model Club, will be running it basically exactly the same as last year
If you would like to have your own table to sell or display something they are $40 each
Please get it touch ASAP to make sure I can fit you in
Otherwise we will have the competition models in the middle and the "others" down the side
Kits for kids is happening as always and the stash for sale section will be as well
Please let me know if you have any questions

EDIT: Entry form and categories attached
Please note: Categories may be removed on the day without notice if insufficient entries

In the build:
3x 1/24 Subaru rally cars
1/35 AH-6J Little bird
1/48 AH-1W Cobra

Will we be able to pre-enter the comp as usual, Hadley ? - I know that really helps-out Steve on Saturday morning. Also, happy to don the 'judges hat' again if needed.

Got my models & bases all boxed-up this morning, got my kits for sale sorted so all I need to add now is the repair kit and whatever projects I want to work on over the weekend (probably a pair of AFV's).

Hadley, any word on pre-entering the comp or has that ship sailed now ?

Is there a file we can fill in pre comp? Also can we do this on Friday afternoon along with drop in models to avoid the parking issues on saturday?

Hey Hadley,
Will there be space again for some of those of us coming down from Auckland to set up and do some modelling?

Note that I have no entries with me this year, so happy to put my hand up to help judging again.

Are there going to be wristbands available for us to be able gain entry again?

Cheers.

Hadley has been a bit busy so I'll jump in here...

We have about the same space available as last year for anyone from Auckland or else where to join in.
It would be great to have your help once again with the judging.
We are *trying* to get more wrist bands, once again AiC have come up short, this time VERY short and a number of our club members have not been able to get one. If you give me a call when you arrive I do what I can to get you in the door.

Hey Craig, only just seen this. KM notifications seem to have stopped
Thanks Chris for commenting
I had no idea if you guys were coming down as hadn't had any posts or messages, but assumed you would be as always, especially to battle Ian for the Phantom build haha. Would be keen to see you and Ian do something again over the next year!

Event was quiet again but Covid19 can be blamed for this one, I had very little info to roll with, even had messages on the Tuesday from some other lady claiming she didnt know we needed any tables, wtf
We ran with what we could and as we were there before 11am on Friday we claimed some tables before the guys downstairs showed up late Friday arvo, but seemed ok with what we had

Huge thanks to everyone on KM who came to the event, whether you just came to look, came to build on the day or came to enter the comp, all this support is great to see.

The Waikato club will be hosting an event next year to fill the gap between events so watch this space

No harm, we got it all sorted and thanks for the bands and all the organising. I did put one back on your table as spare. I find it easy to BS our way in the gate on the Saturday morning now, down to a fine art.

Another good weekend, if you overlook the rugby result, and yes, there will be round 2 of the Challenge. Gotta keep Ian on his toes (or maybe that's keep me on mine?)!

Just be aware that next year, there are also 2 other large model comps in the North Island, so you don't run foul of those. Scale Models Expo in Wellington in April and IPMS Nationals in Auckland in mid-October
