I made replacement rear curtains and an early version air cleaner as the kit supplied part was an incorrect late version. The engine and cab interior were painted and weathered.

The engine was now fitted and the surrounding area painted British Green as early vehicles were sent to the desert in this colour then repainted British Light Stone at the workshops in Alexandria. I decided to make a replacement track bin as the kit PE was too thin to look realistic and I wanted to side frame to be displayed open.

I now added a driver, his relaxed arm postion is due to him operating the winch control and not driving. I added chains to the tool locker and an oil can holder to the front of the box, a spare wheel holder at the top of the trailer front, markers to the front mudguards and the tiny hoop to the top of the radiator. My resin wheels had now turned up from LiborLZ and I was super happy with how they looked instead of the funky kit part pattern that nobody seems to be able to find a photo of in the desert.

Back on the trailer now, I made some ramp lift cable guides that seem to have been field mods in Africa and some chains and pins to the ramp raisers. Now the tractor and trailer were sent to the paint booth. The census number on the bonnet was applied to a green background as per the original green mentioned earlier and the name Sandero that I had made for me was added. This is an alternative for Alexander apparently and I spotted it on a video from IWM.

Work now started on the winching parts and the multitude of bit and pieces of stowage.

Fitting the windscreen stays almost broke me but I won in the end then I moved onto posing the vehilce on the base and doing the groundwork and figures, man I hate doing figs and I suck at it :(

The vehicles were fixed in postion then the final winching cable was added, which was a frustrating task getting it through the various pullys without breaking stuff off. The figs were then glued on and final weathering started.
