The subject of this group build is to take a model off your shelf that's been sitting there unfinished and finish it.
To start post photos of your model(s) in it's current state with a quick blurb of what version you were building and why it ended up abandoned. Then blog and post photos of you finishing it!
Extra kudos the older it is.

Here she is in all her glory - a Tamiya Marder 1a2 with Eduard PE

This was the first kit I tackled when I got back into building and I was keen to scratch build an interior. All up it was a bit harder than I thought so it's languished while I've tackled other projects

So now it's time to dust it off and finish up. Still undecided about what finish I will paint it

That's a subject you don't often see built. Interior looks very nice. Looking forward to seeing this one progress.

Yeah, something else to go for an interior like that on your first model!

Thanks, I'm looking forward to getting it finished and stopping it sitting there staring at me all the time

Now that I've finished editing from the weekend I can look at where each stage is, post some updates, and get to work

So taking stock of where I am with this build

The turret is done and primed

The body has had the interior sealed up and work being done attaching the photo etch tool holders. Need to continue with photo etch and cleaning up tools

It's a bit of a frankenmarder and I haven't decided what colour scheme I want to do it in yet. I also have some accessories for it, spanning several decades so it will not be a 100% accurate vehicle:

So far slowly working through figuring out what I was thinking in places, fixing other places, and moving though the build

Still undecided as to what I'm going to paint this - I have the Ammo RAL 6014 Gelboliv OR I could do the three colour NATO.... decisions decisions

For me, I think the model has so much detail that the single colour will let it shine out more.

But then it would also look great in 3 lol Im not good at this.

Finally got some primer on this, next I need to paint the bottom and wheels as I'll have to get the skirts on to finish

Have you decided what camo? I'm a fan of NATO three tone B)

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

Yes it looks nice but I've done a couple in that recently. I'm really leaning towards the Gelboliv since I've never done one in that scheme before

Decisions decisions!

Have managed to get a coat of paint on, not the happiest as I think I started off with the paint too thin and had to fight for coverage for a bit

Next up will be getting the road wheels and tracks on so I can mount the side skirts to finish the base coat

Still slowly plodding away at this build. Managed to get the tracks on and side skirts in place - then noticed I've knocked off the PE horn. Chances of finding are less than 0 so will have to look at a plan b

Working on some stowage, need more to fill the inside, and painting details. Hopefully a few good nights work and will be ready for final painting and weathering. The NBHS model expo is at the start of July so need to have it done for the end of this GB and to enter in the competition they have

Need to add a lot more stowage

Couldn't get the PE mudflaps to line up - so will add mud to hide

Looking good. The great thing about armour is that if thing do go wrong mud can hide a lot.
That's why I build armour  :P

Well I'm calling this finished, probably needs a few final mud stains here and there but I'm happy with the rest of it. First attempt at a scratch built interior as well
