With an Egg/Caricature GB going on at another forum I thought I'd have another attempt at that style modelling .
Plan TBD .
Requirements/needs = 1 x egg shape.
Can't find any rules saying you can't use something the size of a goose egg
Next up decide what the heck to turn it into - ahhhhh decisions (run and hide) .
Was thinking maybe something from the nautical zone - not many egg ships available .
To be continued..............................
Powder - if you want/need plans for any of the ACW Ironclads just give me a yell . USS Keokuk would also be a qualifier, as would CSS David.
My personal favourites from that era are USS Cairo and USS Chocktaw.
This might help with the selection:
Just turned down a more conventional egg and assessing the possibilities
After many hours of slaving over a hot stove I've got some useful bits that can be used :
Roger's handy tip for the day - when glueing this type of enclosed item ensure you drill a small hole to allow for air pressure changes (temperature fluctuations). I learn't this the hard way many years ago .

I guess if you dabble with eggs you have to expect the odd one to hatch occasionally.
Progress is looking good.
PS I like the effort you go to with your photos - the artistic arrangements are worthy of a cooking book.
No real effort with the photo's, just plonk the bits down so I can see the bits that need to be seen then click . Still trying to figure out the best setting now all my lighting is LED .
Like an idiot I had a little look around for other potential victims for egging - now have a short-list of 15 'must-do's' , but one in particular is stuck in my mind:
For me it's just screaming out to be egged (darn I've been trying to avoid using egg puns).
Might just end up with 4 projects laying around on the bench
Kamov Ka-26 egg
It appears my ailment has struck again (multiple projects started and still starting more ). I guess that's the only downside of scratch building where pretty much anything is possible you end up like a kid in a candy shop with the brain working triple the speed of the builds already started .
Staying with my love of the quirky, just couldn't resist attempting this beauty :
Have made a new egg master (bantam egg shape) and slaved over the stove again .
Just making a surround shape and ready to cut a gaping hole at the front .
Proper progress will be documented soon.
Cheers for putting up with my erratic bouncing between projects .
