1/35 German Bunkers was created by Maarten
Most of you know how i make my bunker so i will skip that part ?

Streaking done with different shades of grey ,ready for washes .















This one also been streaked ,painted the steel parts a rusty color ...ready for chipping

Hairspray chipping.





Parts of the Bunker that were covered with earth were painted with tar / bitumen

Maarten, I assume you have a copy of 'Hitler's Atlantic Wall'? If not I highly recommend it. If you have any other great references to recommend please do.

These kind of fortifications have been something of a lifelong obsession of mine!

I don't have the book you mention ,but have a few on the subject

I have these french books they're great ,

I have a few of them .....and when my Dutch book seller has a new one i buy it (he Emails me )

I am obsessed with bunker ever since i was a kid,we have plenty Atlantikwall left here in the Netherlands.... and been going to France most of my adult live.

Knowing me .................No (but i realy want to ....but never end up finishing it ! :( )

I am more into making / building something ....mostly ending giving it away and sometimes selling it to a really good diorama builder .

The battle damage just adds that much more realism to it.
If I ever find myself building something with a bunker I know who i'll be asking for advice.

St. stands for Ständiger Ausbau.
Meaning :
Construction of reinforced concrete and steel up to 5 meters thick, could withstand a direct bomb hit of 500 kg and direct artillery fire up to a caliber of 22 cm.
Bunkers are gas proof , and from within defensible
