Sci-Fi & Fantasy Group Build
The main criteria for this build is to have fun!
(Build dates: Saturday 24 October 2015 - Saturday 15 October 2016)

Proudly brought to you by Kiwi Modeller in conjunction with Mighty Ape!

The Universe is vast beyond measure, and within it exists untold dimensions. Beyond these is “Te Kore” - The Nothingness. In between the reality of our existence and Te Kore “The Kiwi Modeller Sci-Fi and Fantasy Group Build”!
Parameters for this Group Build
Pretty much any subject is allowed, as long as it’s not real. Examples include Gunpla / Macross / Gundam, TV/movie models, Warhammer, Apocalypse, Steam Punk, Sci-Fi, Bio-Mechanical, Fantasy, Figurines (not based on real people). Out of box, aftermarket and scratch built all allowed. 3D printed items are also allowed but must be totally created by you, not edited from someone else’s work or had elements imported. No partially started kits or work allowed. Entrants must have been be KM members for at least 2 months. Normal vetting for any cynical entries as usual.

All entries must have a build log posted in the group build forum presenting regular progress. Judging will be by community vote and possibly guest judge (to be confirmed). Prize(s) are also to be confirmed. Entries are welcome from KM members outside of NZ and if you win a prize you just need to pay the international shipping. Voting will run for the week following the 15th October 2016, ending at midnight on the 22nd October. A deadlock will be decided by a separate run-off vote. An affordable donation to Kiwmodeller.com is always much appreciated from those participating.
Thanks, and Enjoy!

Congratulations to all who participated in the group build, either as a builder, or contributing to the discussions, offering advice and encouragement. We have a had a great number of builds and I can't believe it has gone so quickly.
It is voting time and there are some prizes on offer. Instead of doing 1st prize, 2nd prize, etc we will just allow the 1st person to choose from the available prizes. There are 2 prizes so far on offer, and there was talk of Mighty Ape offering another. If that come through there will be 3 but let's stick with 2. First place gets first choice.

Prize 1: Monobike provided by PJ
Prize 1: 1/48 Bandat AT-ST provided by Kane and KiwiModeller

Please remember to check the build threads and the Completed Build Pictures and vote on the builds as a whole, not just the finished product. Ive taken mine and PJ's out of the vote since we're offering the prizes and the poll won't allow more that 10 options. Voting closes in 1 week, at the end of Labour Weekend.

Fixed that, please add yours as they are both worthy, if you choose to defer your prize to the next place then do that but I think you should both stand up and be credited for your work.

Well congrats all. We can call this a win for G1 and 2nd place to K2.
So Gary gets first choice of the prizes, the Bnadai AT-ST or the Monobike. K2 gets the other one.

Awesome GB and thanks all for voting

Sweet, I forgot to even keep track of this one :)
Thanks all, some great entries here, I think it has to be one of our biggest in terms of entries over the line, so congrats and thanks to everyone who was able to enter and a big thanks to the organisers Kane and Peter.
Where can I get a picture/more info on the monobike?

I've some more Sci-Fi projects in mind so if there's a repeat GB sometime I'll definitely be keen.
