Just a friendly reminder to all the auto builders in this GB. 73 days remaining. That's two months and twelve days to complete your automotive masterpieces.

Vrooommm.

On the Bench:
Tamiya 1/24 Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI (1993 DTM) - "Built to Race" GB
Revell 1/24 '77 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 - getting the "Mad-Maxed" treatment - moving to the "Diorama" GB

Don't let someone dim your light simply because it's shinning in their eyes !

I'd like to see how your builds are coming along and I'm sure others would too.

I'm sure I can have something done on time, but for something decent, ok , for something that has had a chance for the glue to dry I would not say no to an extension.

If a decent extension was made I'd even look at ordering a kit and making it. Would need about 2 months though as shipping would be a few weeks, plus build time etc

2x Lynx AH-7's DONE
KA-50 Hokum

I could be persuaded to dig something out and throw it together if there's sufficient time, but I'm easy if others don't want to.

Would an additional month work for you folks? That would give you up to 1st October, about six weeks worth of build time. I might even chuck something in the ring too.

If we go out that far ill happily bin the Cobra that saps my mojo every time I look at it and re-enter with something a bit better or something a bit more.......
well lets be honest here. a Tamiya kit :-)

Let me know what you would consider building Hadley as im thinning out my Auto stash at the moment, most euro and japanese sports/super cars.

Why not extend it out to two months assuming MM is ok with that? He might not want to extend the deadline at all, he be happy to take the shallow empty victory of a single entry competition, he should get the final say in my opinion

The extension or the fact that you are the only one organised enough to get anything over the finish line anywhere near time?

NINE (9) Days and counting folks . . . .

I will put up a "Finished Models" page along with a voting section which should be available from next Wednesday/Thursday. I will allow until Friday 3rd October for everyone to have up to Eight (8) photographs of their completed vehicles in their own thread within that section. Please, everyone remember that only members can vote so please do so later next week. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

David (D1)

PS.
I've not been around here for some time coz me MOJO has gone away and I'm struggling to find it again.
I suspect a different direction may be needed so have been gathering a few Car kits to proceed with sometime in the future. Don't know when but it will happen. Sold a bunch of my military stuff at club meeting last week and may put some bits up here soon too. I will finish the D-Day GB Dio I've been working on but not in time to enter it.

I'll be back, just don't know when. Other than for the officiating of the "Road and Track" GB next week :woohoo:

Hi David

I know Reon is away from Friday so may be nice to have the finished topic open before then.

Voting is going to be easy to setup with only 2 kits finished by the looks lol

Cheers

Thanks mate, yeah at one point we had a few car builds on the go, I didn't expect to win to be honest. It's a bit disappointing that the votes were also a bit frugal but hey a win is a win so thank's to all those that participated and voted for me. :D

Congrats Gary, I gladly accept 2nd place, and the wooden spoon.
Just cause the contest is officially over I'd still love to see the other starters get their builds past the checkered flag, nothing better than something shiny in the display cabinet.
