Good that you're not.

Poms over painted their roundels for the operation.

Was going to pass on it, but then remembered I had this in the stash that was relevant. My grandfather was FAA, which was the reason for having it. Will be adding the Hasegawa 1/72 Sea Hurricanes to the stash when they are released too

Cool . . . The old string bag. One of my favourite aircraft. Great to have in on this build Craig
And a bugger too, 'coz you're good  :woohoo:

 :woohoo: :pinch:  thanks

Still have to get it built yet!!! As I won't be starting until Jan 1, will mean a 4 month build which will be tight, especially given it's a biplane and needs rigging, something I've not done in a long time.

Just ordered the Eduard set, resin engine and decals for it from Hannants.

Have only one photo of this aircraft, but still have to identify what it is carrying under the wings.

Didn't end up getting any plastic cut on the Swordfish last night as too busy working on other stuff, and also have ordered the Eduard set from HobbyEasy, so will wait for that to arrive before I make any more progress. But here is the obligatory bits in box with KM logo shot to kick things off.

There looks to be a surprising amount in that box for a 1/72nd kit.

Not dead yet. Believe it or not I have actually made some progress on this kit. Need to get some pics, but not sure it will make July 1 deadline. We shall see. I have to say, this has to be one of the best 1/72 kits I have ever had the pleasure to work on. Detail is very very good and fit is superb. While the plastic is a little soft, and there are a few areas which I have improved, if you like WWII props and especially biplanes, this one is a must. Airfix have outdone themselves, and I would even go so far as to say this kit is better than the 1/48 Tamiya Stringbag.

Okay, time for an update. Have done something. This is, as mentioned a fantastic kit. I'm using some Eduard and scratchbuilding to enhance it a little.

First up the fusleage. I've installed and masked the two small windows, added the Eduard etched push in steps/handholds and used a Hasegawa rivet tool to enhance the fuselage fasteners. This is now ready for me to paint the interior.

Cockpit parts ready for paint. I still have to add all the coloured instruments panels and seatbelts once painting is done. This is a very complex assembly, but goes together very easily - credit to Airfix.

Main upper wings and struts assembled. You can't get this wrong. Airfix have engineered the fit superbly and the struts lock in place and align very positively. I have removed the leading edge slats, and started to add the slat recesses using the leading edge of some wings from the spares box (port wing finished, starboard wing still to go). There are 11 kit parts used to make this assembly and I had no trouble with any of them. I have also drilled all of the rigging holes using the locations marked on the Airfix parts, and scaling of the Tamiya 1/48 kit for the ones Airfix missed.

The sections removed from the upper wings have been joined and refined to form the slats. In the picture the starboard slat has been done and the port one is just the two sections glued together. I have yet to add the 3 slat tracks per slat.

I have also assembled (but not taken any pictures of) the two lower wings (with their Eduard enhanced main and light underwing racks), the 6 250lb bombs and the engine. Will start getting some paint on this week. I plan to paint the wings before attaching to the fuselage (not something I'd normally do)..
