Hi,

I made a start on Emhar's very nice Kit of the Whippet...

After about 40 minutes you end up with a Whippet...

The kit comes with a variety of Decal options including 2 British machines from 1918 I quite fancy one with the red and white ID bands on the engine decking...

I've also been looking at Matador Models upgrade set for ideas....

More later...
Cheers

John

Nice. When I put mine together I bugger'd up one of the MG front sights and eneded up removing the lot of them.

Looking good. I built the same kit a few months back and really liked it, was a fun quick build.

Cheers Michael

Pretty little things arent they? Will be interesting to see how it weathers and details up!

Always liked the look of that vehicle. Nice base colours. Look forward to seeing it with the weathering.

Thanks..

I added the initial filter wash tonight of a thin mix of burnt umber oil paint and tamiya thinners..

Here it is while still wet...

I also painted the MG's and drybrushed some of the track detail...

I also gave the inside of the mud chutes a thin coat of tamiya red brown....

More tomorrow....

Cheers

Terrific stuff. Very good detail resolution for the scale. Like it heaps.

Cheers Wally...

I did a bit more weathering this evening using some turps / pastel wash.... Along with a bit of silver watercolour pencil...
