I don't think of it as a "process". Simply mask the sections that you don't want to paint, spray then wait for it to dry, mask again and spray again. Just keep on doing that until you have the scheme done. For this I used Scotch auto masking tape which I'd already cut some 'wiggles' and curves in to and applied them so the green & grey were roughly 50/50 of the exposed surface.
Update In Stash:
Lots of 1/35 Armor mainly WWII German and a few Modern British/American pieces, 1/32 Aircraft and 1/48 Aircraft. Aircraft chosen to replicate RNZAF and RAAF types through the years. Some RAF & USAF types exist also.
Took a fair effort to finish it all, and it's unbelievably delicate, which you probably guessed anyways. All that said, I thoroughly enjoyed this project, so thanks to those folks who commented through this WiP thread.
More pics in the 'Gallery'/'completed builds' a little later after I run them through the photo editor.
