Adding details

The RNZAF MT lined up for inspection

A couple of scratchbuilt No 13 cab trucks are the next projects then I really must get some more rolling stock running on the railway.

Of cause every good Kiwi Pacific airstrip needs a few CMP Puddle Jumpers.

The donor kit for the chassis and wheels is the Airfix Bedford MWD with a modified front axle to add the diff.

Yes there has been some scope creep from two to four baseboards although the two new boards will be slightly smaller when finished. I have more rail track and points ready to run the line to the RNZAF sawmill and beach jetty scene with a PT boat and landing craft.

The Chev 8 cwt build is making great progress.

Final trees in the corner of this baseboard planted. I hope it tells the story that the coconut plantation has greater depth then the single line of trees to the right.

Yes lots to do let alone all the aircraft to build. Last night I began painting more backscene boards while waiting for more rail joiners to turn up as I've lost my current packet.

Final track plan rather simpler that I initially envisaged as it felt too cluttered as planned. The land section will feature a couple of scratchbuilt Quonset huts and a small section of fighter aircraft parking along with lots of coconut trees.
I have been looking at 'how too' videos on making sea water scenes.

As it was roasting outside today I spent some time inside distressing wood dowel in lathe to represent coconut trunks and putting them in place to form the wharf edge.

All coconut trees felled to make this wharf were felled to further the war effort.
