For inspiration, here is a thread for all to share their diorama ideas you would like to build.
Simply provide an image, or a description, of the diorama scene that inspires you.
Please, NO images of dioramas already built.
To start with, I would love to build this scene.
It is dramatic, especially with having survivors in the foreground, and all those lights on the boat, water reflections, and stars.

I think the simplest version would be to create a collage of the background, including plane and ejected pilot. The foreground is the model part of the diorama.
Otherwise its foreshortening of modelled objects.
I’ve always wanted to build a diorama ofvthe squad of SS guys marching in line across a huge step in Russia. It is a very famous photo, a gentle dip between two hills. It illustrates how a large invading army can be dwarfed by a massive landscape. In 1:35 the grassy plain would be about 10x10m. In 1:76 you lose the idea of massive size.
Actually I’d just like to finish a few models first before I get to dioramas :
A combination of the background to the right hand side, and the Id monster on the left, of the diorama.
The left side is a bit tricky. But because it is in the dark of the evening shadows, and the gorge, it lends itself to utilize a DIY head up display (HUD).
The HU part is a reflective partition window. The D part is a thin sheet of clear Perspex, blacked out, except for the red light bits. A red light bulb is used.
The bluey beam bits can be thin rectangular blue LEDs mounted in the Perpspex. These operate like a running light chaser circuit.
Stand aside caffine, this is a job for alcohol.
