The subject of this group build is the diorama, broadly defined. It is open to any scale, genre, medium, or subject matter: sci-fi, military, non-military, aircraft, ships, tanks, animals, historic scenes... whatever takes your fancy!
He has a blue LED in his head, drilled out his eyes to let the light out, also another lighting up the red orange area of the welded metal, does not show up to good in the photos.
Just started building the base wall for the workshop,so abit of wood work going on.
I made a 4 sided box open at top and front from 6mm MDF, then glued sections of foam board for concrete walls, the blue section is painted plastic sheet glued on,door made from plastic sheet.
SO far so good.
As a mechanic myself and spending my life in workshops, i can really appreciate what you are doing. And i say that you work so far is outstanding.
Love the engine block and that milling machine is just the bomb!
EDIT: Just had a thought (scary i know), but i wonder if you could make some swarf for the milling machine by drilling a micro drill into some plastic styrene. It often gives what could be passed as 1/24 scale swarf. Depends on what size drill you use of course
I'm in TOTAL AGREEMENT with the AWESOME Meter. Outstanding milling machine. And I have even spent a few hours in front of one too. Oldest friend has been in Business for 40 years with his own engineering shop of which I spent 15 years actively involved in the motor racing scene, based out of that automotive engineering workshop. He became my first brother-in-law. It has been some years since I was active in the scene, but was just in the shop last week, so I do know what I am lookin' at. Fantastic scratchbuilding there sir . . .
