Thanks guys, erm none, yeah it sucks that you can't see the detail, Trumpy did a really fine job on the level of interior detail with this kit.

I finally got the courage up to have another go at the replacement flaps, I used a different method this time, where by I used a very fine CA and put the pieces together in a different order to what the instructions say. As this was the second set I'd tried to make I was able to learn from the crumpled pieces of brass that were the last attempt.

Well that's 3 of 8 pieces completed and that's 3 more than last time so I'm quite happy :)

Thanks guys, I must admit it's been a lot easier doing this kind of thing since I discovered fine silicone tubing, CA doesn't stick or dry in the tube and it's so fine I can put tiny drops just where I need them. :)

Where could one happen to procure some of this wonderful silicone tubing? I hate using CA cause it's impossible to get minute amounts right where you want them.

In Soviet Russia, Iron Curtain GB builds you!

I got mine from Mighty Ape, I think it was about $8 for a small pack of tubes and nozzles

Great to see this excellent build proceeding again at last. I congratulate you being able to put PE together like that.
I'm with Ian. If the kit had flaps I wouldn't replace them and I'll always use plastic in preference to PE.
Daily updates please Boss!?

You don't know how many times I told myself that as well, but I'd bought them so I'm determined to use them now, but I'll not cut out the kit ones until I've made them all just in case lol

love the weathering Gary, especially the bleaching on the upper surfaces, along with the well used chipping, gives the old bird life...awesome!!
