As I said it looks convincing. Sitting rusting or under the water for days on end. Would you see much bare metal after a voyage or would it be just down to the red oxide?

Same here,
That's why i am going with a very rusty / weathered look.

Some had more weathering than other..........depends on many factors,

Looking great!
Can't wait to see the weathering applied, I'm sure that will tie everything togeather.

What paint brand and colours have you used? I'm very close to painting my Type VIIc and cannot settle on colours....

Hi Chris
I mix al my shades my self (white,black,blue,and dark green ) ...... i used vallejo,Mig and Lifecolor,so i can't really help you there.
They came in all kind of shades of grey,
The only color that needs to be is Black for the wooden deck (If your boat is new and over time it fades to a dark grey tone )
