Of course you can and this group build doesn't care how many of one thing it has, the more the merrier.

The kit arrived yesterday so unpacked and had a look at the parts.
This kit came with some resin pieces to correct the minor errors in the original - wheels too small/thin, wrong propellor type, exhaust (?), etc.
Here's whats inside the box.. I like what i see so far: :cheer:
The box - the artwork really sets the atmosphere!

side of the box showing how it's supposed to look

All the sprues - nice detail on all the partsd, no flash or distortion, and hopefully fit is good too

Please note there are at least 2 sprues in each bag..

clear parts lots of masking here

exhausts ... and

resin parts, all good

decals
and lastly

instructions which are many pages..

Should be good. Will have to wait for the "Backfire" ( www.kiwimodeller.com/index.php/forum/beh...-curtain/31181-tu22m ) to clear the workbench before really staring on this one, might just start the cockpit in the meantime.

Thanks for watching

CHEERS :cheer:

Looks really nice, so did the resin come with the kit or was that additional?

No, normally the resin parts are separate, and I was just going to get the kit but hadn't made it to the model shop in Wellington, when I was just window shopping on trademe and saw this kit and the package came with the resin parts. A real bonus..

Not quite the super detail you have with all your PE parts ;) - you have set the standard with that build!

Nice that you found a kit with all the extras. Nice. Still will be nicely detailed, don't always have to have PE :) (It just adds to the look of the model - but also the stress levels of working with PE lol)

The prospect of all that PE has actually put me on the back foot, all I've done so far is make the pilots seat which now has way too much brass glued to it than it really warrants.
It's actually made me look longingly at the new addition to the stash, the Mk I Wimpy which I'm tempted to throw together out of the box just to calm my nerves a bit.

Yes I agree, and usually you put all that work into detail which is totally invisible once the model is completed - only you know it's there. I spent more on PE for one kit - an expo entry- than the kit cost and was so impressed with all the detail I managed to squeeze into the tiny cockpit, then the canopy went on and ...

I know exactly that feeling. The BF110C build I had done had heaps of PE, in the cockpit, the gear bays, and even guns etc... but you just don't see it!

That BF 110 is a real nice piece of work - all the techniques I am still very amateurish with/still developing -the seam detailing and paint chipping and that superb mottle pattern on the sides. Wow - A belated Well done!

Starting with the forward interior..

A lot of nice detail, and a chance to try some 'detailing' and weathering, without anyone seeing it again.. :P

Nice detail in this kitset and you've really made the most of it.
As you say, a good opportunity to try things out ... And the result looks really good.

Fitted the fuselage halves together after installing the side windows

cockpit interior view

fuselage on a piece of A4 paper - bit smaller than the last "heavy bomber" I made

The fit of the parts on this kit is SUPERB - even where I thought it needed some filler the result was insignificant - a refreshing change! :cheer:

Nice work, so, Revel are no longer using the old Matchbox tooling, then?! Looks like a pretty sound kit.

Yes this is all completely new tooling. I think Revell did re-issue a Matchbox (or Monogram? Airfix?) kit earlier, but this one is definitely a new generation

Revell bought Matchbox and I think reissued the Hali; I know they did the Privateer, big Lysander etc. Some of the smaller 1/72 aircraft were also reissued under Revell, such as the Ju 87D/G and the Twin Otter to name a couple.

Good info- I quite liked matchbox kits. I built all their 1/76 tanks on those diorama bases (cringe) and as many of their planes I could get - they were a real joy

I won't be waiting around for a 1/48 Fonderie Miniatures Halifax to become available at great expense.
You've totally sold me on this kit Arrowtrader, and you are thoroughly doing it justice.
Fine work man!
