Digging through my stash today I pulled out this kit as a Bomber Command operated aircraft during WWII.

The Whitley kind of reminds me of the Shackleton for some reason?

It should make a reasonable build. I did a bit of a dry fit and it seems to fit together pretty well.

On the bench:
Airfix 1-48 Tiger Moth

It amazes me just how many heavy bombers the Brits experimented with and worked with when compared with the German's complete failure in this regard. Looks a good kit

Cool, will be watching on. The Whitley would be one of my favourite RAF early WWII bombers

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

Given the plastic is already grey - I assume you'll go for one of the grey camo schemes on your box top?
.... but I'm not sure you have all the parts needed for those.... so maybe a bit of scratch-building will be required... unless you can find some parts from a donor kit? :P

You would be surprised at the parts my Tardis Whitley box is holding that you can't quite see. ;)

Great choice VB. I've been wanting to see someone build the "Old Man" Whitley since its release by Airfix.
Looks like the kit is right up to their new high standards too?

I love these early WWII bombers not just for the bravery of those who flew them, but for their quaint design.
