Behind the Iron Curtain
Start Date 17/11/2015
End Date 9/11/2016

Anything produced or operated by the USSR from 1950 - 1990 from the Army, Airforce or Navy.
Doesn't have to be theatre specific, but there's the option to cover Russian forces in Afghanistan etc which allows for plenty of options.

Sweet ) Giving an old kit a go. The only one I have in the stash is a 1/144 Mig - a very old Airfix model. I wont be building that for this GB.

Will be interesting to see how it turns out :)

Sweet :) Least you're giving it the extra treatment mate. One guy from another forum just throws them together, and doesn't bother with cleaning, or filing etc... so good on you for giving it a go

Damn that is a lot of masking. I didn't think the Mig17 was such a birdcage.

Well, we all learn from mistakes, and hopefully your canopy will still be alright! When doing curvy pain in the butt canopies, I will cut down my masking tape to very small threads (like about 2mm), as it's easier to manoeuvre.

Nice colour on the body :)

And there you are. The photos on the wood top make it look as though it's sitting waiting for take off in the desert. Very nice
