Yet one more idea for a future group build

You've all seen 'em, the special ones (mostly planes) painted in special colours for the last flight before retirement or for shows/events like NATO's Tiger Meet. I'm not familiar with this happening on ground targets as well so this may be an all birds build. No WHIF's or MANGA birds but real special paintings that have been in use if so just for one day. Here's an great opportunity for a really colourful build.

Thoughts n' opinions please...

At my chaotic desk:

Airfix: Messerschmitt Bf109E-4 1:72
Heller: FW 190 A-5 1:24
Revell: F-104C Starfighter 1:72
AZ Model: TP-81 Grumman Goose 1:72
Tasca: Sherman Firefly Vc 1:35
DML: Panther D 1:35
Tamiya: Char B1 Bis 1:35
Tamiya: Cromwell Mk.IV 1:35
Tamiya: Sherman M4 Early 1:35

A good idea but would be limited to us flyboy types. It could work as it's a unique one off type build, would be worth promoting to other forums, might get some interest from the outside.

No, the pink Spitfire was used for recconaissance in the MTO so it's a camouflage colour just as the PRU Blue is for high altitude n' nothing special at all.

But I think that Formation birds like those extremely painted Liberators that saw action in ETO would fit the bill for such a build. Eh Gary, you fancy a colourful Lib mate?

Sounds good McCoy, should give plenty of options of things to do... just look at the us navy centennary birds and whirly things, there's like 15-20 options right there....

Hopefully we get some 75th anniversary options from the RNZAF next year that we could do

Come to think 'bout it a little more. A lot of the birds from the Great War would qualifiy as well for this build...
