Just realised its 7 months until AiC and i havent done pretty much anything i had planned to get done for it. So time to extract finger. This will be my science fact model i hope. This is two hours work so far fit is pretty good just a little putty needed in a few joints but i could possibly get away without it as most of them will be covered once it's all glued together. Sorry if this is in the wrong category but it goes in the water so figured i could get away with it :P

just waiting for the weekend to put some paint on this but i'm trying to do a little modelling every night so made a start on a base for this. starting with a Arii A6M its a pretty bad kit so wasn't to hard to cut it up and when its done you wont notice anyway. I hope

hopefully i can make something out of it not really sure what i'm doing :S so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I think i may end up with the base being more interesting to look at than the model  So not that it looks much different i have painted the tanks and the framing and the body parts for the sub and made a bit more progress with the wreck.

That's looking great, are you going to pour resin in or just have glass sides to this display?

This is looking cool. Quite like the work you have done on the wrecked aircraft there.

I like the idea of encasing it in resin but having never done it before i'm worried i may end up with air bubbles trapped in places and how the models will stand up to the heat from the resin curing. I'd hate to do all the work just to ruin it at the last stage. I have an old airfix 1/72 SBD that i started making a wreck out of years ago with the idea of doing the resin thing, i think i'll leave this until later in the year and get the other builds done then have ago at the SBD and if that works maybe have a go at this one.

Finally had some stuff arrive so i can move forward with some things. Spent a few hours saturday hacking at this lot
and after trying many different body parts together and fighting with the carpet monster every couple of minutes for ownership of said body parts i've ended up with these three, not the best but it's the best i can do. I may try thin the left arm of the women pointing though she looks like she's a pro arm wrestler

Bugger was looking forward to meeting another of the masters :(

Progress and been slow for me the last few weeks but have done a bit on the figures for this. Not the best figure painting you'll ever see but for me this is as good as it gets. just need to flat coat them but i ran out so will hopefully get this done during the week then i can start sticking it together

Been a crazy week so havent had a lot of spare time, But i have used a few minutes here and there to get the sub assembled just got to put the light covers on and some piping around the back. Couple of fit issues but i'll live with them.

Look at what I've missed. That wrecked Zero is superb. The weathering posibilities from all the underwater in the PTO shots are enormous. The ocean floor is the limit" as they say.

Thanks everyone, got some more done on the wreck over the weekend. Still havent done the light covers, decals or piping on the sub but that won't take much i hope. Sorry no flash camera or photo booth at our house but I'd like to know what you folks think. Is it too much? not enough? to bright? some area i need to add more to? etc
