That is looking great! Are you going to be putting more around the aircraft itself also?

This is fantastic. This would fit in the diorama group build. :)

this looks amazing HOW did you do those corals that just blows me away.

Not to be the W@nker here, but I think Yak has got it right there mate. I do a bunch of diving and there are a lot of sandy lagoons like that with nothing but sand (eaten up coral pooed out by sea slugs and the like) except the odd cluster of coral. I'm thinking it looks right.

Thanks Grant, I didn't think about that, I guess i probably could have entered in that. But what it has made me think is if it will be ok to put in the the sci-fi category at AiC or if i need to fit the sub to another basis base?

Cheers FK :) was hoping someone would be a diver and could enlighten me as to whether i was on the right path or not. I was thinking of adding another rocky area here with some more growth on it what do you think? the corals are a product of nature. small moss's some sort of seed pod for the red and white one and the sea weedy type ones are bits of a flower of some type  sorry not very helpful they were bits i picked up when out mountain biking and have no idea what they are just that they look like what i wanted to replicate

I'd say Diorama for AiC and/or maybe Naval.
Very nice work though, love the coral vegetation.

Bugger. Was hoping i would get away with it. What if a just had the sub on a small stand? Would it be ok for science fact then?

Yeah that would work but then it would be a waste of all that work on the plane.

I bought it and made it to help fill out a category that seemed to be lacking last year and hopefully show people there's things to model that aren't tanks, cars or planes as they are predominantly what you see. So i'd like to keep to the category. I'll just take the base along and once it's been through the judging bit on saturday can fit it back on the wreck for sunday

Got the sub finished. not happy about the seam on the bubble and a couple of other small fit issues but it looks like a sub so thats a win in my books.

Thanks Wally,When i decided to have a go at an underwater wreck i did a google search but only found one other. Looks like a buffalo and everything was gray with a bit of green flocking. So seems like not a lot have been done.

Mate that looks absolutely superb!!!!!! what a great idea too. i'm really inspired to do a wrecked plane too,... i really want to dive the Solomons on some real Zero wrecks!

I was trying to think of a pic to send you to show you a empty sandy bottom, but i forgot sorry.

But anyway...... here's me diving on a giant clam shell, you can see it like totally sand around and nothing else.

And just to be a wonker... her're the start of the 4000 ft drop off Aitutaki..... get your buoyancy wrong here and enjoy the ride!!!

best diving i have ever done

Update In Stash:
Lots of 1/35 Armor mainly WWII German and a few Modern British/American pieces, 1/32 Aircraft and 1/48 Aircraft. Aircraft chosen to replicate RNZAF and RAAF types through the years. Some RAF & USAF types exist also.
