Ports of Wellington Tiaki @ 35th was created by turtle65
Hi all,
Remembered this old hull/deck build I did for someone else, and thought I'd throw in here for no real reason

Tiaki @ 35th scale: L=700mm x B=306mm,
built using all the old school methods (draughting/lofting etc. etc)
First off the 1:1

and the hull/deck build:

the vac-forming was done at a commercial plastic's manufacturing business (I'm allowed to play with their equipment :cheer: )
Couple of hulls/decks got shipped off to Oz and a few more off to GB.
Any Q's just yell out.
Cheers for having a gander.

Sorry Steve, you'll see no more progress on this as it was a commission job just for the hull and deck  , I had a quick mess around with the deck structure to check a few things (deck camber etc. etc.).

Cheers for the encouragement and positive comments, however please feel free to point out anything that didn't look right (ditto to any of my postings), always good to see things through fresh eyes :) .
Once I've made a bit more progress on my 35th Boiki class TB I'll post some pic's ;) .

That looks awesome. Does it take a long time from start to finish to scratch build something of this scale?
So much detail

Hi ya Mikep,
Not trying to be difficult or anything, however the question "how long is a piece of string" springs to mind here :) .
However it all breaks down to how much time and effort the builder is willing to put into a project. Me - I'm a slow and fairly fussy builder so I could easily take over a year on the project, whilst a more skilled builder with better time management skills than me could finish in say ....... 3 months or so.
Personally - things will take as long as things take. I've never been concerned about time factors (unless it's a commission job  ), I'm more for just enjoying the hobby time.
Cheers for looking in.
