No. 4 Squadron P-51 in 1/72 was created by Dads Army
Hi there, I'm building the el' cheapo Italeri kit in 1/72 - Nothing flash, just whacking her together.
Not looking forward to the paint job though as my tin of NMF paint is all but dried up and as I want to keep within the NZ Defense Force budget (in 1/72) it will have to do

Have trimmed the prop on the right to represent the cuffless blade - was easier than I thought but not perfect.

Fitted hard points for rockets - not that I intend to hang anything under there

Wee view of the wee office.

Hopefully make some progress today :)

Nearly done - just a bit of touching up with a fine brush, attach landing gear covers etc
Bit of an ugly puppy but I've got plenty of room at the back of the display shelf.

I'm happy with the paint job considering what I'm painting it with :woohoo:

I added Humbrol thinners to try and bring in back, but every time I take the lid off the paint has gone back to the consistency of toothpaste. Must order new tin Humbrol 191

Broken wheel strut bottom left - I have found a spare in my box of bit's
