The last couple of weeks have been mud, stomach bug went through the house, my son tripped and hit his head on the coffee table at my Dad's house, resulting in a 3cm gash on his eyebrow and a trip to hospital, and I've been mucked around by the guy that brought my Logitech steering wheel

The weather has turned very watery, so haven't been able to get any spraying done on my other projects :S

Tony mentioned about the donor kit for the Wirbelwind turret, which got me thinking about what I had in my box of abandoned Tamiya Panzer IV variants in the stash. After a couple of hours of ratting through the sprues and parts, I had enough to put together the Möbelwagen :woohoo: I also raided a donor DML StuG IV for missing bits from the Tamiya kits, and parts that offered better detail than the Tamiya offering. I added the set of Magic Tracks from the StuG IV kit too. Only AM item is the RB Model 3.7cm Flak 43 barrel.

I started building this last Wednesday, so pretty stoked to have it done in a week. Haven't had as much time at the PC lately as the Mrs is doing her course work, so have been a bit slack posting

Here are the WIP pics

Here are the finished build pics. There are a couple of pieces I have left off to be painted separately, as I cant get the finish I want with a brush. The other thing I did add was PE mesh from an Eduard 3.7cm Flak 43 set. Hoping for a break in the weather to get some primer and colour on this

Update In Stash:
Lots of 1/35 Armor mainly WWII German and a few Modern British/American pieces, 1/32 Aircraft and 1/48 Aircraft. Aircraft chosen to replicate RNZAF and RAAF types through the years. Some RAF & USAF types exist also.

Thanks guys :cheer:

Pretty stoked how it turned out.

Planning to get it stripped down over the next few days and ready to paint. The weather forecast for Thursday to Sunday is looking promising for painting. I really need to sort out my extractor fan set up, as it will allow me to paint in the evenings too

That is my problem, being stuck to painting outside. Really looking forward to seeing all these under paint. The shelf is going to look very impressive with a whole line up completed.

Update time

Base colour on. Been a bit of a battle with the elements getting stuff painted. The bloody wind has been shocking!

While editing the photos I realised I forgot to take one of the Flak 43 :pinch:

Forecast for the weekend is promising. If it is still windy I'll paint in the entrance of the garage

lol Andrew. I've lost track of what build is what. Doesn't help that I know nothing of WW2 armour. I think you're going to have to come up with a colour code for your builds just for us simpletons.

Do you always do your spray work outside?

Currently yes. I have too much other stuff in the garage to spray in there. I don't feel like drop sheeting the whole garage :pinch:

Spoke to my bro-in-law and showed him the wood I intend to use to frame up the extractor unit for a spray booth.

Hopefully next weekend after my sons birthday party I can get it built

Tony, that is Eduard etch on the shell basket. Tamiya give you their standard square mesh cloth included in their military kits since the 70s

Update time. Got a break in the weather with some time, so

Will let that harden for a few days before making a start on the detail painting

I'm not sure to be honest Tony, I think it may be 0.2mm It is the airbrush that was supplied with my compressor

A little more progress, tracks painted

Trying to get this one closer to the finish line :woohoo:

My least favourite part of a build is detail painting  but if I don't get into it, the build wont progress :pinch:

All the metal parts have been done, just need to do the wooden handles etc, then get a clear layer over the top
