That's awesome. Its come such a long way in such a relatively short amount of time. Do you have plans to populate it with a station?

Today's experiment was making cacti out of modelling clay. These were brush painted and given a matt cote. This was a lot of fun and the end result look okayish. I think I can improve the shape with the next batch. :cheer:

Good things take time. (And sometimes these days the best things are obsolete by the time they reach the market ... or reach fruition)
Your Cactii (huh?) are shaped really well but maybe lack that "threatening spines" look?
The landscape is so rich in detail though, even for a desert canyon. I think it's great!
Hope there's a video on the way soon of the whole thing working ...?

Yeah, I wondered if it was worth adding some texture. I'll have to puzzle out how to achieve that.

Woodland Scenics static grass. Light coat of thinned pva and each cacti needs to be attached to a "Static grass" applicator individually. It may take some time but also may actually work :S  :pinch:   :P ????? Just thinkin' out visually

Revell 1/24 '77 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 - getting the "Mad-Maxed" treatment - moving to the "Diorama" GB

More progress. I worked on the propane dealer scene and also carved a rock face to separate the two front scenes.

Wow Grant, this looks absolutely awesome! Subbed to keep an eye on it.

As an aside if someone was to construct something in the 2 metre by 1 metre size what sort of estimate in cost would you think exists?

That's a hard question to answer to be honest. It depends how much you're willing to spend really. Some people are capable of modelling on a budget, I'm not one of them. :S

I've weathered the track and rocks a bit more. Added lots of bushes and a few more trees. I think the weathering nicely tones down all the colours and makes it a bit more "lived in." :) Next up is adding a detailed scene to the piece of bare ground. Thanks for looking.
Grant.

On the positive side, I'm taking a bit of leave again to prepare for the op, so I should have a bit of time to work on this.

I've built, painted and weathered a couple of Walther's kits. This is meant to be a small engineering firm. These are just plonked on the layout at this point as I'm still deciding on precise placement.

A little more work. This still needs more detail and weathering. The truck is from Woodland Scenics. I also added a few more trees, but it still needs more.
