Haha thanks, I hope it turns out as well as the last one.

Cabin windows deleted today. There are a few air bubbles but I'll let the paint fill those in. I dont want to use any filler on the outside as I dont want to sand away any of the raised detail that I want to keep.

I'm still trying to decide if I should pose any of the cabin doors open

A bit of flash and pin marks to tidy up. Doesn't really bother me as it gives me something to do while thinking

I must have been kidding myself thinking I was going to get away with limited sanding on the fuselage. Spent most of the evening filling and sanding.

Ive fallen a bit behind on this one over summer, but chipping away when I can. Getting ready to paint the belly and wings.

Thats not a paint spill from the aircraft. Just an old piece of cardboard I had lying around when undercoating

I was about to say you'd got a pretty good finish by pouring the paint on.

Thanks Grover, the last set of decals I used went on really well, but I did need to use a decal softner for the cheatline. I used Markfit but I might try microsol/set this time.

I have finished the light grey on the belly and im quite happy with it. I wasnt happy with the upper fuselage so added another coat of white.

Im really struggling to work out the correct colours for the wings. The last 737 I made I did them all silver but I want to be more accurate with this one. The instructions are useless. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Some photos I have show silver/crome leading edge and a darker color in the centre of the wing. Im not sure if the flaps are silver or light grey.

Looks good to me. I have a bit of nostalgia for the Air NZ 737 200. The type itself is woefully underrepresented by kits. I'd love to build this in 1/72 (or bigger).

I agree Grant, a 1/72 or bigger would look fantastic. I loved flying on the 737 200, wish I had obtained the registration of one I flew on (as a passenger), I would have liked to have used it on this kit.

That turned out really well, it really looks good. Two very nice looking models of our airline.

Do you plan on doing more Air NZ / NAC models?

Thanks viperbuilder, yes I have an NAC F27 to build in the first NAC livery. Its 1/132 Lincoln kit with a the shorter nose. I also have a Dash 8 and 3 F27s in 1/72 scale in my stash. Id like to build a 747 400 in Air New Zealand too.

I have a Mount Cook F27 also. The F27 is a favorite of mine.

Gee, the Mount Cook Friendship looks very smart too. What kit did you use for that build?

I have the Doyusha 1-144 Friendship and Old Models 2nd NAC scheme, which is a sentimental favourite scheme with me. You really are inspiring me to break the plastic out on that kit. :)

Thanks Viperbuilder, both F27s are Doyusha kits, I think the shape of those kits is quite accurate. I would love to see your one come together.

This is my next one a 1/132 Lincoln F27, which looks to be the same kit as the airfix one.

I had under coated the kit but stopped work as I plan on scratch building an interior to display the doors open.
