So d*mn frustrating !

When we moved here to NZ, parcels from Hannants and other UK outlets would take from four-to-seven working days to get here. Now it's ten-to-fourteen on average. I ordered more Flory Wash direct from Phil and a couple of bits from Hannants that I need to carry-on with the build; both packages were dispatched on the 1st June, today is the 19th...

More when I can.

It's Friday and the Flory Washes AND the extras from Hannants have arrived this lunchtime. Just my luck it's too bl**dy cold & windy to spend any time in the Man Cave later, but that's OK, as soon as the weather breaks-back I'll be back on my P-47...

,,,can't wait because I'm enjoying this build 'that much'.

Good to hear your orders have arrived.
Sadly a friend who ordered some decals from Hannants has been waiting over a month and has not had any real responses from their customer service which is sad for one of the great sites of the hobby.
Seems that Asia can get orders here in less than a week but the US and UK take so much longer since the changes to their postal systems over the last few years.

So the wash is all finished and dry now, so with a (very) deep breath I masked up the edges of the Theatre Stripes and sprayed the black edging this afternoon.

You'll see the 'unveil' tomorrow about ten minutes after I do. Don't touch that dial !!

Decals on: These are from the sheet that came with the Kagero 'Top Colours' book and are simply excellent. As ever please feel free to comment and/or criticise. More later in the week, real-life permitting.

Yep, not too much weathering to be added on this one, Steve. Going to keep it to exhaust plumes and a little cordite scorching on the gun barrels and ejector ports and a hint of aluminium scratching on the leading edge of the prop blades..

Next step is that exhaust stain then final assembly and a very light coat of satin varnish, last will be the pitot, aerial mast and HF wire.

Very nice. The metal finish looks great. I think you're right to be restrained on the weathering.
