Ford 'Fordor' 1942 Tamiya 1/48 was created by johnsnz
Last week I bought a Tamiya 1:48 US Staff car off of trade me...

It arrived Yesterday afternoon and I have been busy on it in between other stuff..

Remember as a Kid getting a kit on Saturday afternoon and getting it built by tea time...

Well this is the nearest thing to that I've done since I was 10....

The kit is a simple Tamiya build and one for my 'Tamiya Twelve' project. Tamiya I think first released the Fordor bundled in with a P51 and then later with its own boxing as here...

I've not built a car since I was 10 it was the Matchbox Auto Union type D....

So this is a quick. Close up of the body... I've just added the decals so they are bedding in with Mr Setter...

I'll also include the Driver but he'll need painting.... The chassis is Diecast like s lot of Early Tamiya 1/48 armour kits...

It's painted in Gunze Olive drab and the clear coat is Gunze super clear.

It'll need flatting back and a bit of weathering adding..

Cheers

John

nice start, and the rest
sometimes the quick easy build are the most satisfying and I find they can really kickstart the mojo

Nice quick wee build, quite like the Gunze Olive Drab tone.
