OK, with the Mustang 'simmering' in the background and the Hornet 97.5% finished, I think it's time for a change of pace...

No customising or 'Fast'n Loud' -ness, going to build it as stock as I can with a little wear'n tear.

Stay tuned.

That's cool, something very different from the latest builds.

Was just going to find the Rad car GB idea I had up again, and see if people were keen to add that on the schedule for next year

So your Defiant build was titled 'Something completely different'.... and now you spring this on us. :P

Very cool choice. Does it have stock wheels or are you stuck with the chromies?

All the options are in the box to build it stock, including skinny radial tyres and dog-dish hubs.

Cab & bed built and primered. Just placed on to the chassis for the photo.

Next I'll build-up the engine, cut some wire for the ignition harness etc, etc. Thanks for taking the time to look and/or comment.

Some progress and apologies for the poor focus on both the photo's of the block. No idea what happened there !!

I'll be taking it to AiC as a work-in-progress for the show and tell if anyone wants to see it up-close'n personal. Thanks for taking the time to look and/or comment.

What carpets !!
There weren't any fitted in the C-10, it was an 'entry level' truck with no frills whatsoever, not even chrome trim which was virtually compulsory in the mid 1960's.

Not a huge fan of stepside utes, especially "duallies"

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

Well because I'm a little bit stupid, I left my kit at AiC on Sunday afternoon, luckily G1 rescued it, so until I arrange with Gary to get it returned, I'll press-on with my Conflict in Vietnam build and another car... one of the Ferrari's I recently acquired, I think.

Thanks for the comments and observations everyone. I'll get back to this one as soon as I can.

After it's extended stay as a guest of our very own G1, it's back on the bench:

Ready for it's first colour.

After one light misted coat from the bottom to top.

Second coat from top to bottom. Looking a little deeper now but will definitely need two more light coats after I've gently rubbed this back (dust really does get everywhere !).

More soon.

Thanks folks appreciate the comments - next step will be to post-shade the bonnet and the tops of the rear fenders to simulate sun-bleaching, maybe re-apply some primer spots to give the paintwork a more 'distressed' look once I'm done with that I'll mask & spray the cab white.

Stay tuned.

Paint, decals and clear done. Probably won't polish it as I want a 'used' look, it's a blue collar shop-truck not a 'showroom' model.

Next I'll do a little more weathering - stains, rust and primer etc. Then final assembly.

Stay tuned.

...and we're done !

Thanks for following along, more photos in the 'showcase' thread. Next I'll keep going with my other four car builds, hopefully one of them will be good enough to bring to the AiC show in November.
