Ok! today is the day! I have until about 4... and two kids to look after while the mrs goes to a wedding...
Putting the dash on now, along with steering wheel etc. Decals to be done today, and wheels to go on. Unfortunately the glass sen through from Rick wasn't the correct size, but I'm trying to sort something out to suit it. Little addition here and there of the plastic that comes with the kids toys.
Damn ok, the instructions says grey... quick blast with the airbrush will change that.
Nah unfortunately none of the glass fits... just little off... some of the older glass wasn't put on, so able to use them... but the main ones are the front and rear window... the front can be used, just have to use some spare plastic as filler, the rear window will have to be cut down, and then might try and fill the rest with putty (as it's black anyway). Doing what I can, with the tools I have.
Well... last night was a bit messy!! haha... anyways, pics of the completed build. So stoked that I managed to get it done, he was showing it off all night, took heaps of pictures and was telling everyone and anyone about the skill I have.
It's not quite finished as I would have liked it (better paint job (mirror finish), and some of the decals didn't go on perfect), but I am happy with it, and once all the decals were on, she looked great.
Next is finish of the 1/700 Tirpitz that my wife started a few months back, saw the camo scheme and she didn't want to finish it. So I'm currently on to that. Will post up a new thread tonight or tomorrow to show the progression. Still recovering from Saturday night
Though with the Tirptiz I'm close to finishing either way (don't have PE parts for it or anything, straight OOB build). Then will be finishing the F-15C!
Update In Stash:
Lots of 1/35 Armor mainly WWII German and a few Modern British/American pieces, 1/32 Aircraft and 1/48 Aircraft. Aircraft chosen to replicate RNZAF and RAAF types through the years. Some RAF & USAF types exist also.
