Revell kit, built straight from the box, of course I didn't know when I bought it that the bonnet/hood didn't fit the contours of the body, but hey... we live & learn, right...

Be very grateful for any comments regarding the 'weathering', could have done a whole lot more, but didn't want it to look like it had spent six months in Ypres just a used but not abused shop-truck. Great wee kit that goes together very easily (except the aforementioned bonnet/hood issue). Go-out and buy/build one it's good fun !!

You could display it with the bonnet along side...
Or mount it in an open position

Love it! :woohoo: Looks like a well looked after classic that is daily driven and used for what it was intended for. Very well done IMHO

As for going out and getting one, there is one at the local model but with the standard well side and it is definitely getting hard to walk out without it.

That is merely the bonnet side scoop. Really nice work on this one Ian

Why is patience a virtue, why can't hurry the f**k up be a virtue?

I didn't even notice the bonnet/hood  It's not uncommon for aftermarket replacement parts to fit like that and often repairing the original rusty/damaged part works out cheaper. So if it worries you, you could always paint the bonnet a slightly cleaner brighter mix of the body colour to replicate a replaced panel or another idea would be to put a bit of damage around there to make it look like the bonnet fell down or was shut with something in the way which has caused it to kink out there.
