Just something I'm building as a "If I buy this will you build it for me?" favour for a friend before I get back to my Tomcat/Gladiator/Skyhawk/whatever else is on my bench that's on temporary hiatus.

His birthday is coming up, and while he knows I'm building it, he doesn't know about the Tirydium Models LED kit I've installed :)

This is my first attempt at LED'ing anything, so I thought a kit was a good place to start and Warren at Tyridium has been really good to deal with.

The kit itself is pretty simple and nicely engineered, and goes together very quickly and easily. There's not a lot to it mind, but these kind of subjects can be tricky builds sometimes (the Revell B5 Starfury I built for the same friend comes to mind :) )

Yeah, this is a fun interlude between more serious stuff.

I've also just noticed that this is in the entirely wrong part of the forum - I just put it in "follow as you build" from "recent topics" without realising there was more than one.

Mods feel free to shift this somewhere more appropriate. :)

Fixed...

Looking good too, I have the same kit mostly built (sans lighting kit) and other than the whopping great big seam under the wings where the top and bottom halves join it goes together well.

In Soviet Russia, Iron Curtain GB builds you!

People look at me funny when I say I own "Fifty shades of Grey". FS36118, FS36270, FS36375.....

Tell me about it (actually posted a week ago but lost in the lost posts thing).

Filling seams, finding new ones, deciding if seams should be there or not etc :)[/i][/i]

At least you have some artistic license Mumbles. Can't wait to see it with paint.

This is a great little build. I have the Moebius 1/72 Viper double kit in my stash - courtesy of a Mighty Ape special a while back.

But I have been a Galactica fan for a while. This little fella followed me back from the USA 37 years ago. :)
